Coastal Libya Industrial Roofing Project Adopts High-Durability PPGI Coils to Solve Long-Term Fading and Corrosion Issues**

Libya’s coastal regions face some of the harshest environmental challenges in North Africa. Strong UV radiation, high temperatures, and salt-laden winds frequently cause traditional painted sheets to fade, chalk, peel, or corrode within only two to three years of installation. For an industrial roofing project in the Misurata area, the contractor urgently needed a durable PPGI material that could withstand harsh climate conditions while maintaining long-term appearance and structural reliability.

After detailed communication and technical evaluation, we supplied 2×40HQ containers of Pre-Painted Galvanized Steel Coils (PPGI) in multiple thicknesses — 0.4 / 0.5 / 0.6 / 0.7 mm, and widths 600 mm & 1000 mm, suitable for roofing panels, wall cladding, and trim accessories. The coils adopt a high-UV polyester coating system with enhanced adhesion and scratch resistance to ensure better outdoor performance.

During installation, the project team reported excellent flatness, uniform coating, and smooth feeding on local roll-forming machines. Even under large bending angles, the coating remained intact without cracking or peeling. After several sandstorm events, the panels maintained color brightness and surface stability, outperforming local suppliers’ materials.

The contractor commented that the new PPGI greatly reduced maintenance frequency and improved overall construction efficiency. The project owner has decided to standardize this grade of PPGI for future coastal developments.
